Working from our office in the e-Innovation Centre in Telford, we provide independent geotechnical design services for projects throughout the UK and overseas. Utilising geotechnical and structural design expertise, we offer an integrated service for the design of geotechnical structures including:
  • Retaining walls
  • Reinforced soil retaining walls and bridge abutments
  • Strengthened slopes
  • Backfilled concrete arches
  • Piled and spread foundations
  • Ground anchors for stabilising slopes and retaining walls
  • Working platforms for tracked plant
We utilise appropriate geotechnical and structural engineering software including LimitState GEO, FLAC 2D, Fine GEO5, STRAP and Oasys ADSEC in addition to routine hand calculations. AUTOCAD LT is used to prepare sketch drawings and access AUTOCAD drawings provided to us by our customers (please note we do not produce engineering drawings as part of our service). 
Most of our work is carried out in accordance with current standards (i.e. British Standards and Eurocodes) and where applicable, industry best practice guidance documents (e.g. CIRIA, BRE etc). Professional Indemnity insurance cover is included for the following geotechnical engineering design services (excluding site supervision):
  • Preliminary design and feasibility studies
  • Detailed design for temporary and permanent works
  • Independent design checking and certification
